Coeur d’Alene Public Schools is the heart of our community. We have a student population nearing 11,000, and our district operates 11 elementary schools, three middle schools, three high schools, a developmental preschool and KTEC, a joint professional technical campus with adjoining school districts. We employ some of the most talented teachers in the state, with skilled administrators and staff members who are committed to the success of all students.Records you will need: No child may be enrolled until the school receives the following information:
- Current proof of residency in the Coeur d’Alene School District
- Current immunization records
- State-certified birth certificate
2 WAYS TO ENROLL NEW STUDENTS
FOR THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR
1. NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT – ONLINE PROCESS

Only students who areNEW to the Coeur d’Alene School District need to enroll at their home school.

Magnet Schools (Ramsey and Sorensen) have their own application process. Please visit each school’s website for more information.
2. NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT – IN-PERSON PROCESS
Student enrollment will also take place in person at each school.
Here are the dates and times for registering new students for the 2022-23 school year:
All Elementary Schools:Enrollment is on Thursday, August 18, from 12 PM until 6 PM.
All Middle Schools:Enrollment is on Wednesday, August 24, from 12 PM until 6 PM.
(Families also may register new students after these dates)
High Schools:Call the school for which you are zoned to schedule a new student enrollment appointment with a school counselor. Staff will be available to take calls on August 8 and August 15, and every weekday beginning Aug. 22.
